“ Boom boom went the volcano house.” In the school holidays I went to the huge Museum and discovered new things with my family. “Wow that’s amazing I’m looking at a giant elephant”.
We were finally in the weird and wonderful section, where there were weird and wonderful things. My favourite part in the weird and wonderful was the big tree hut, it was really big. Then I saw olden day toys which were so awesome I thought they would be fun to play with.
Yuck crayfish, I’m seeing a disgusting crayfish which is walking around a rock-pool.
Even fish! There were fish in there too. I hated it but the cool thing was that on top of those ugly things was glass and you could walk on it, now that’s awesome.
This place is giving me the creeps. We were in the Mummy room with a dead body that was a king. This Mummy was around New Zealand for years. There were bowls that had body parts in them, then we left to go to the Rugby World Cup, but wait a second where do we go to get out ?
“Oh no for a second we were lost ”. Then a nice person helped us. There it was, I was looking at a beautiful shining cup that a lot of countries were competing for. It was the Ellis Webb Cup. That was my favourite place in the Museum, visiting the cup. Then we saw the big scary shark. It looked freaky because of it’s teeth were really sharp.
“Oh my gosh it’s a starfish eating a muscle”. It looked disgusting. Then it was time to see the Maori things, I was amazed at what I was looking at. There were some small things and some very large things. There were green stones and weaved bags. The bags are called kete, and then there’s a big whare, but before walking in you always remember to take off your shoes. Then it was time to leave. I had a great time looking at things and seeing things I had never been able to see before. I hope I get to go there again.
